11-Day Experiential Shakti and Meditation Retreat with Lina Leimonte in Japan, April 1st- 11th, 2025
April 1 - April 11
5500€There are places on Earth which are called ‘power spots’ or ‘spiritual spots’, which originally were places of faith and nature worship. They can be thought of as places where the power of the Earth is felt and considered as manifestations of pure divine energy or Shakti. Those places have water that is said to heal, rocks that are said to speak to people or fault lines that emit magnetic forces. Therefore, they are called holy (jap. 霊場, reijo) or sacred (jap. 聖地, seichi) places.
Japan is considered one of such places on Earth. We invite you to open all your senses and experience it authentically, joining the 11-day experience and retreat in Japan, infused with Shaktipāt transmissions and meditation with Shakti teacher Lina Leimonte.
Our group will be taken care of by our Japanese speaking guide Greta Vaitkute. Our deep gratitude goes to Imura-san (井村) for putting together this soul touching and consciousness expanding itinerary.

This retreat starts in Tokyo with Shinjuku Gyoen where there are many power spots such as Hanazono Shrine, Minakainari Shrine and Nariko Tenjinsha Shrine. It will continue then in b, visiting Arashiyama temple which is famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, and the Togetsu Bridge over the Katsura River which runs through the centre of the mountain and is a symbol of Arashiyama.
The cool and refreshing ‘Sagan Bamboo Forest’ has a trail which stretches 100 metres from the World Heritage-listed Tenryu-ji Temple.
Sightseeing in the Mount Aso area is a highlight of this experiential retreat.
Mount Aso is the largest active volcano in Japan and among the largest in the world. The volcanic Mount Aso, emblematic of Kumamoto (the ‘Land of Fire’) is home to an immense caldera.
The Five Peaks of Aso, as seen from Daikanbo, are said to resemble a Buddha lying down. The hotel we will be staying at is a secret ‘power spot’ where the spoons bend and powerful rocks are to be found in a garden within the grounds.
The Shakti and Meditation retreat with Lina will take place at Nishimura’s Kōminka – the premises will be for our private use. Kominka literally means an old house, and often refers to a Japanese traditional folk house. During the breaks we can enjoy walks in Kominka’s Japanese garden or outside of the garden, admiring the Aso mountains.
Then we shall visit Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine, known as a spiritual place and a “gateway to another world”. It is said that this shrine brings us the good luck of success in entrance exams and victory.
There will be the chance to visit many more mystical places, such as Amano Yasukawara Temple, one of Japan’s leading power spots, walking along the Path of Success and Sunmesse Nichinan Park with 7 replicas of the Moai sculptures, which are the same size as the original ones located in the Easter Islands. There will also be a special Kagura evening performance. Kagura (jap. “banquet of the gods”) is a distinctive theatrical dance that addresses the Shinto deities by making offerings to them.
A visit to Oshitoishi Hill, Nabegataki Falls and an opportunity for sand and other baths in Jigoku Meguri Beppu will be closing experiences of this exclusive and sacred 11-day Shakti experience in Japan.
